Pressure vessels: Sealed equipment designed to contain gases/liquids and withstand pressure. Regulatory thresholds:

1. Maximum working pressure ≥0.1MPa (gauge pressure), P·V ≥2.5MPa·L, containing gases/liquefied gases/liquids with maximum working temperatures ≥ standard boiling point (fixed/mobile)

2. Gas cylinders: Nominal working pressure ≥ 0.2 MPa and P·V ≥ 1.0 MPa·L; oxygen chambers classified separately

3. Classified as special equipment requiring registration, periodic inspection, and certified management

II. Core Structure and Common Materials

- Main components: Cylinder shell, heads, flanges, nozzles, seals, supports;

- Safety accessories: Safety valves/rupture discs, pressure gauges, level indicators, emergency shut-off valves, interlock protection;

- Common materials: Carbon steel, low-alloy steel, stainless steel; Bimetallic composite plates and nickel-based alloys for high-pressure/corrosive conditions

III. Primary Classification

1. Pressure Rating: Low pressure (0.1 ≤ P < 1.6 MPa), Medium pressure (1.6 ≤ P < 10 MPa), High pressure (10 ≤ P < 100 MPa), Ultra-high pressure (P ≥ 100 MPa)

2. Function: Reaction R (reactor), Heat exchange E (heat exchanger), Separation S (separator), Storage C (storage tank/spherical tank)

3. Installation/Mobility: Fixed (plant storage tanks/reactors), Mobile (tankers, skid-mounted storage tanks), Cylinders, Oxygen chambers
